what are some responses to "I like this guy" or "there this guy thats really cute..."

i was seeing this girl who kept bringing up other guys she was seeing.

what are some ways to respond to "Dave (other guy she mentions) is so funny blah blah" or "that guy at the party was really cute/fun"

I mostly just nod and not talk for a while...or ill change the subject but i found that both of those approaches are not appropriate.

any help? i have been struggling with this for a LONG time.

Treat like any shit test.

Her: "Dave is really cute/fun"
You: "Yeah, sometimes I wish I hadn't broke up with him..."

Her: "Dave is really cute/fun"
You: "Yeah, I'd marry him too.."

...etc, then immediately transition into something else...

Don't respond to it. Just don't care one way or the other... Obviously you should be aware a girl saying these things is either doing so because she want's you to leave her alone or she's not at all interested in you. I doubt she's trying to make you jeolous..
