"do you want to hangout later?" ... no number close neccessary

ok.. i've been experimenting with this for about 3 months now.
originated when i was on a trip to cancun mexico..


there were no phones in cancun.
my little bro was asking how we go about getting girls numbers, when there is no phone.
i told him we don't, we just get them to meet up with us later.
have them meet us somewhere.

his response, "ummm..."
i say, "ok. just let me take care of it. don't ask any girls for their numbers."

haha, he is 18 and i am 25.
the days of not texting girls and just having them meet you somewhere are an illusion to him. they don't exist. ha

ok so i meet some girls at the pool. we all drink and chat and have fun.
then i say it, "you guys wanna hangout later?"
girl: "yes yes. lets go to the club thing at our resort."
me: ok. we meet for drinks first
her: ok, lobby bar? 9:30?
me: yes, perfect we will see you guys there.

my brother was like, "dude... this will never work, they are college girls. total flakes."

i said, "well dude whatever. we got a 50/50 chance."

and they showed up . awesome.


so i get back to the states. and decide that's my new angle.


my buddy and i are at a local bar in my hometown.
chatting with the waitress. she's a cutie, hb8 for sure.
just normal NORMAL chat. a little flirty. not gamey. and not flashy or using any techniques at all.

me: so whats ur status?
her: my status?
me: yea.. like Facebook.. single, in a relationship, it's complicated, confused?
her; HAHAAH, complicated.
me: wanna hangout later?
her: umm.. yea.. what are we gonna do?
me: my friends and i are all going out. bring a buddy and join us
her: ok cool! umm... i'll just... give you my number?
me: yes mam, write it down for me before we leave.

boom.
we all hangout later and had a blast.
guys this is my new goto phrase.
no more, "ok give me your number." during the daytime.
from now on i'm old fashioned, "wanna hangout later? meet me here at 8"

haha we'll see how much i get flaked on

Sounds like a plan. I 've actually hated phone game all along with all those fakes and flakes. It's always better to just meet her at the same place you initially saw her for the first time or see if you can persuade her to go to a place you are going to that same day or the next day.

was in line for food at panera bread 2 days ago.
this girl bumped me while reaching over to grab a spoon..

me: don't make me blow my rape whistle
her: you have a rape whistle?
me: you must be single.
her: actually yea..
me: damnit.
her: <laughing> what??

she was being very friendly.. VERY quickly..
no bitch shield whatsoever. in the middle of the day.
i assumed she must be single. and i was correct.

me: i'm over that kind of stuff for now. whats your name?
her: what do you mean 'you're over THAT kind of stuff,' ..being single?"
me: no i just want someone i can trust.. i don't trust single girls right now. so no funny business.. ok?
her: why don't you trust single girls?
me: because they. are. single.
her: and?
me: look i think .. i need to just date a girl already in a relationship. do any of your friends have boyfriends they don't like?
her: hahaha omg.. seriously asking me this?

they call my order number and i'm getting it to go.
i look at the register guy and nod to him, holding my hand up like, "just one sec."

Me: ok.. i'm leaving. <eye contact>
her: oh ok..

her and i were chatting and not directly facing each other. .. but not facing away from each other. at this point we squared off.

me: <raising my eyebrows as if to say, "it's your turn to talk.">
her: what?
me: <back turning her, and take 3 steps over to grab my food... then i walk back over to her. slowly . and directly face her.. we are making eye contact and i blink slow before i start speaking, slight smile> ok..... i'm LeaVing. <after i am done speaking, i give the same eyebrow raise that says, "your turn to talk.">

her: oh.. ok... should i get your number?
me: <getting my phone out of my pocket, opening it (iphone) . opening it to "messages" . and click the new message button. then i hand it to her after i switch the keyboard from letters to numbers> do you know how to text?
her: haha yea who doesn't <taking the phone and plugging in her number>

i text her my name, first and last. say good bye and walk out.

i think in this situation the number was appropriate..

you can't really classify when it's appropriate and when it's not.
she and i texted that day and the next morning (yesterday morning)


maybe the shorter the chat, the more you are better off getting her number.
and the longer the chat, you should probably just ask her to meet you somewhere.
