As far as I know, it's all real.

Anyone who has taken a bootcamp can tell you that the things the Mystery, Matador, and J-Dog were doing in sets are just a fraction of what our instructors are capable of, so I really doubt that there were any actors in the club.

I wonder why none of the faces were blurred ? Isn't it mandatory to have the faces blurred unless they sign a contract ?

I believe the PU scenes are real, no actors. But regarding no script, I wonder if there isn't someone directing the participants like: "Now show a little more emotion, say that again with a smile, walk here, move over there, why don't you guys jump into the swimming pool so we can film that, sorry we didn't get that on tape please walk through the door again etc..."

Also, in regard to the PU. In the show it seems as if each participant has only made one approach per night. I wonder if some of them didn't make several approaches and they just chose one of them to appear on the show.

I've had the pleasure of assisting at a few bootcamps. I've seen every scene from the VH-1 specials in person. Noone needs to direct the students to act the way they are. And none of the sets in field are tainted. This is how real people act.

Like any other production, there's a level of editing and cutting footage. But I doubt it's being tampered with. I haven't seen anything on the show I haven't seen at an actual bootcamp.

Yeah they aren't actors, there isn't a true set script with monologues and dialogues but they do know they are being filmed. This is what Donovan pointed out

The funniest thing was spotting Herbal (Tynan) in the episode (albeit the back of his head), seeing a girl talking to Mystery wearing Herbal’s other hat, and one of the Tynan’s Angels rejecting the asian guy.
When we did a shoot centered around dancing the people were told to make
circles around us (the dancers) and kind of look like they were getting into it
rooting us on and what not while they stood back and filmed.

I was referring to the scenes in the house.

The scenes in the house I would imagine might be a tad staged, but that part really doesn't matter because when anyone knows they are on camera they take to acting a bit anyways, meaning they aren't 100% real because they want to convey themselves in a certain way.

Not if they come off and say it is a "survalince" then they don't need promission for anything. Yeah i was wondering about that too thou. I really like the show thou, in all honesty i really think that J-dog should talk alil more than he does. He seems like he knows quite a bit about this stuff.
