Default The Ring Routine?

Hello,

I've read a few posts on another board about a ring routine that apparently goes down a storm. I've been trying to find out what it actually is but have had no luck.

Anyone know what this routine is and how to run it?

I think it's Style's routine:

Quote:
I. THE RING FINGER ROUTINE
Notice a gleam of metal on her fingers (a ring) and say, “I have to ask before I run: Why
did you chose to wear that ring on that particular finger….Interesting…Do you always wear
those rings on the same fingers?” (Note: Of course they always do, because that’s where
they fit.)
Then continue, “I have a friend who’s a spiritual type, and she just told me that like the
finger you choose to wear your rings on says something about your personality…”
If she is not wearing any rings, just ask instead, “Out of curiosity, and I’ll explain why I’m
asking in a second, when you do wear rings, what fingers are they usually on?” If she
normally doesn’t wear wings, ask, “Well, if you were to wear a ring, and it wasn’t a
wedding ring obviously, what finger would it be on?”
Then go on to explain:
“Each one of these mounds” – the pads on the palm where the fingers join the hand -is
represented by a different God, and in Greek culture, you wear a ring on that finger to
praise and pay homage to that particular god.
“For example, the thumb represents Poseidon which as you know is the god of the sea.
And he was very independent. He was the only god who didn't live on Mount Olympus. He
did his own thing. And the thumb kind of sticks out, it kind of does its own thing. People
who wear thumb rings are therefore very individual and independent and generally do
their own thing. They don’t follow trends, but prefer instead to set their own.
The index finger is represented by Zeus. Zeus was the king of all gods, and the God of
Thunder and Lightning. That's a very dominant finger, and having a ring there means you
tend to be a more dominant person.” (Wave your index finger at them like "no no no" or
"don't do that.”) It represents power and immense energy.
Your middle finger is represented by Dionysus who is the god of wine and partying. He is
a very irreverent God. So if you have a ring there, it means you tend to do what ever you
want and care less about what others think.” (Then lift your middle finger up on its own
and give the bird and say, “It’s like fuck you to the world.” When they are wearing a ring
on that finger, they always laugh at this.)
“Your ring finger is of course represented by Aphrodite. She is the goddess of love, and
that is why we wear our wedding rings on that finger. (You can add all kinds of romantic
cold-reading lines here, like, "When you fall for someone, you tend to fall completely for
them.”)
“Interestingly, it is the only finger that has a vein that goes straight to the heart without
branching off, and so when someone puts a ring on that finger, they’re actually making a
direct connection with your heart.” (If she is comfortable, you can trace a line from her
finger up her arm as you say this.)
“The pinky is represented by Ares. who is the God of war, and that's why you see
mobsters wearing pinky rings, It represents conflict.”
If she is wearing a pinky ring, ask, "Did you buy that yourself or did someone give it to
you?” If she bought it herself, it means she is sometimes at war with herself and has
some inner conflict, maybe an emotional conflict or something she is not comfortable with
herself about. If she was given it by someone ask, then ask by whom and tell her there
may be some tension below the surface between the two of them, some unresolved
problem that she just haven't solved yet.
If the women ask, “How do you know this?" You may respond, "An ex-girlfriend of mine
was into mythology and taught it to me."
If she has a ring on her wedding finger ask, "Is that an engagement ring or do you just
wear that to keep the womanizers away?" You’ll be surprised how often the latter is true.

II. POCKET GUIDE
THUMB = Poseidon, representing individuality
INDEX = Zeus, representing dominance, power, and energy
MIDDLE = Dionysus, representing irreverence, rebelliousness, and decadence
RING = Aphrodite, representing love and romance
PINKY = Ares, representing conflict

III. ALTERNATE VERSION FOR EXPERIENCED USERS
Note: This version names Roman, rather than Greek, gods
Are you right or left handed? Now the rings on your dominant hand have to do with your
conscious decisions and thoughts. The rings on your non-dominant hand have to do with
the way you are unconsciously. These are the things you may not even realize about
yourself and are under the surface of your daily life.
Neptune/thumb. Remember Neptune is a water god and he is quick to change and flow.
he could be roused to anger quite easily. You are quick to defend yourself and get angry
when your individuality isn't respected.
Jupiter/index. Jupiter was the king of the gods. and he was sort of a player type god. He'd
shift and change his physical form on earth just to get a girl. It'd always piss his wife off
obviously. Jupiter was always unapologetic because he had confidence in his leadership.
You're the kind of person who tends to adapt to any situation and take charge. Sometimes
it takes a lightning bolt though and you can anger people, so be careful of that.
Bacchus/middle. Bacchus was the god of wine, as most people know, but he was also god
of theater and was a bringer of freedom from the normal self through madness or ecstasy.
He was on a mission to free people of worry and concern. You like to do what you want
and need the freedom to do so. You don't always want to worry about consequences and
results, and sometimes this gets you into trouble.
Venus/ring. Venus was the god of love and beauty and that's why we wear a wedding
band on the ring finger. You depend on interpersonal relationships and are always seeking
beauty in your life. The biggest characteristic of Venusian love is giving. You have a
generous personality and try to spread good feelings to other people.
Mars/pinky. Everybody says Mars is the god of war, but he was also god of fertility and a
protector of boundaries. Mars rules passion and raw energy. You're a highly volatile and
passionate person. People probably call you a firecracker. You're fun to be around, but
sometimes you explode. Sometimes you get into conflicts with yourself and other people
and you need to get calm to rationalize and compromise.
You can also tell her that: People also use rings on whichever finger to work on a certain
type of energy. Maybe you feel you're not being much of an individual lately, so you need
to wear a thumb ring to help you bring out that side of your personality.

Cool...yeah I'd never seen this routine either. Though I perform one that's much simplified, doesn't really include the cold read techniques.

I just usually grab hands at any stage and start to check jewelry, then ask them who got what for them. Like if you see a particularly interesting bracelet or ring hold their hand or arm in yours, ask who bought it for them. Then before they have a chance to pull away toss the arm away.

I have to say I've never been rejected on it, though one girl I felt was about to pull away so I abbreviated the routine further and tossed her hand. What would be even better is, if there's any hesitation by the girl, just to throw the hand away and say nevermind. Then either try again later or cut the thread completely.

This will also work with necklaces, always nice to have "non-threatening" reasons to touch the neck. though I would recommend not being too feely here. I love necks!

Default Awesome

This routine is great. The reason I like this routine so much is because it can't be done by any random guy. It demands the PUA to be a good presenter/story teller. I will practice this a few times while I'm driving back and forth to campus in my car, until I've got it down. Then I'll try it this weekend. Thanks!

Default Ring Routine

I have had a ton of success with this routine, and have customized it a bit to be more sexual and more congruent with me.

A lot to remember? Start by remembering which gods and attributes match each finger.

I had a target respond with a whole routine/story about cladaugh (sp?) rings.
