2 sets as Traps

Ever since I started, having emerged myself in this wonderful world of social dynamics just under a year ago, I have had an affinity for two sets. I found the routine stack(s) I used/use, which has had results, relied heavily on having more than one person in a set.

I relied a lot on routines such as the “girl code” coming right off my opener, then ignoring the target with active disinterest, applying group theory, DHVing, isolating, and so on and so forth. Because I relied greatly on a routine stack I found myself restrained to only approaching a set of 2 or more in order to sarge.

This occurred simply because I was plowing through with routine after routine similar to Style’s social robot speeches back in the day. I would be able to calibrate but would run out of things to say. I am sure for some of those reading this, you have or have had similar issues. Although I was limited to approaching 2 sets, I discovered some pros/cons of approaching 2sets.

There are several outcomes that can occur when approaching a 2 set.
1.) Get blown out
2.) Isolate an individual target and close
3.) Isolate target and friend pulls her away because the friend is alone & bored
4.) Don’t isolate and #/kiss close
5.) Phase shift into a Threesome
6.) Become a public speaker entertaining two girls for the night,
ultimately having fallen into the 2 set trap having wasted a night on a set

These outcomes seem to be prevalent in any set, but 2 sets have a distinct flavor and its own set of rules, which can be approached differently for those who approach it with a model in place.

Although I have experienced all of the outcomes listed above, number 6 seems to be the most prevalent.

-Wingmen- (the real answer lol)

The easiest answer is to go out with a wing and have him distract the friend while you isolate. For those of us who sarge alone, wing is wasted, or whatever reason for the absent wingman, there’s a couple of things the aPUA can do.

The make shift wingman

Find a random guy who seems cool, grab him let him know “Hey, I want to hit on these chicks over here, you down?”

Usually if he isn’t a chode, he will do just enough for you to isolate the target. Do not expect him to be a good wing man, he won’t. In fact he will probably try to amog you. That’s why it is best to isolate the target as fast as you possibly can.

The biggest problem lies within group theory. The friend has more of an obligation to stay with the obstacle even with the most charming PUA. If the individual sarging does not deal with the obstacle he will undoubtedly assume the Public Speaker role.

The public speaker role isn’t always a bad thing. An individual gets to practice delivery, tonality, routines, and not get a fucking, kiss, number, or fuck. Not bad, right? Sounds like a good night to me…

Without a wingman a PUA can avoid falling into the 2 set trap of public speaking by being CLEAR IN INTENT AND INDEPENDENT OF THE OUTCOME.

TD has a lot of great material on this concept.

The idea behind it is to be very sexual communicating with subtext and even verbally at times, while demonstrating abundance in relationships. Do all this while not trying to get something from her like some guy who has scarcity in women with his life.

The attitude should be: “This type a shit happens to me all of the time.”
Here is a common sequence: (calibrate, if you try this and you’re state isn’t high, you’ll look like a creep)

SUPER IMPORTANT TO ASSUME THEY ARE ATTRACTED. You are the prize and are entitled to beautiful women in your life.

-Open the set by hugging both girls (compliance test)

- Neg and physically push them away (push)

-Physically pull the target in and compliment. (rewarding compliance increasing push/pull dynamic)

-While holding the girl, to her friend, run a role playing routine/ neg, Is she always like this? Say “just throw me away like trash” ... physically push her (push pull, cocky funny, bullshit, baffles brains, rapping, kino esculation)

-“No no no, just kidding. I love you come here.” Pull her back in and tell the friend “hey, your friend and I like each other, I am just going to talk to her for two minutes right there (point), I’m a good guy, its ok.” YOU HAVE TO DO THIS WHILE MOVING THE GIRL. A lot of this has to do with physical frame control. (Push/DHV thru confidence and assumed attraction/Justification)

-Isolate the girl a few feet while holding her. Calibrate, if you need to back off to build rapport do so accordingly. Position her so she is facing AWAY from her friend. This will prevent any girl code giving you a longer window.

-Rock her side to side, almost as a bit of a waltz, Jr High style. Now reward her for this large amount of compliance. Run verbal game if necessary.

SIDE NOTE (Important)

If at any time her friend tries to rip the target away from you call her out and that childish and bratty behavior. You are an adult and should not tolerate this behavior rude behavior.

Scream at her “Get the fuck out of here; I am talking to my friend right now. I am a fucking good guy.” Remember to Smile and vocal tonality is key.

At this point in the interaction you have the target isolated. Run your game accordingly. Remember you have raised her buying temperature, so you have to act quickly. I like going straight into a modified version of Style’s evolution phase shift. Any kiss close. Go in for it

This is really turbocharged shit and it works. If you’re acting like a total chump or if its your warm up set I wouldn’t recommend it. But you never know until you try?

This sequence works when calibrated correctly. The important leason is to move quickly in the interaction isolating quickly.

2 sets can be quicksand or tons of fun. Embrace the public speaker using the 2 set as preselection and merge them into sets.
